Daily Playschool Operations:
* Enter when you see the light on.
* All the children attending playschool must be toilet trained.
* The playschool operates in two sessions between September and May. For 2024-2025, classes will commence September 9, 2024 and end May 2025. The playschool follows the same holidays and institute days as the White City Public School.
* Fire drills are conducted at the beginning of the school year.
* It is important to bring and pick up your child on time. If someone other than yourself is to pick up your child, please inform the teacher.
* Children must wear rubber-soled indoor shoes, due to fire regulations.
* Children must bring an ice cream pail with a handle (no lid) to carry their snack and take home crafts, notices, etc.
*Additional supplies needed this year - a pack of thick Crayola markers, a pack of crayons, and 4 small tubs of playdough.
* Please do not send your child to school if they are sick.
* Make sure your child is appropriately dressed to play outdoors in the fall and spring. Outdoor play will not occur during the winter months, unless proper notice is given.
* If it is necessary to pick up a child early, please advise the teacher at the beginning of class.
* Any field trips will be kept within a small radius of White City or Regina (i.e. City of Regina, White City School, area farms, etc.). Cars transporting children for field trips must have a child seat for those children weighing between 40-60 lbs and a seatbelt must be worn for those children who are over 60 lbs.
* Teachers and members of the Committee are available to discuss any questions or concerns.
* Parents are asked to provide a nutritious snack and drink for their children. Please do not send gum or candy. Cookies are acceptable.
* White City Cooperative Playschool is nut free and parents are asked to closely monitor ingredients of school snacks.
* Playschool will be open regardless of weather, unless there are circumstances beyond the control of Playschool (i.e. power failure, no furnace, mandatory shut-down ex: covid-19 etc.).
